A Call to Arms!
A Call to Arms! http://wp.me/p4FyFa-6o
The last two mornings I was awakened up to an hour early with a burden on my heart to pray for our church, and especially the men in our church. This past Sunday evening, I was privileged to take part in what I would call the most powerful event I have ever attended. Our church held a men’s convocation, in which we were all called out to rid our lives of the idols that we cling to, and devote…

Review: The Welkin at The National Theatre

The recent implosion of James MacDonald’s ministry is a sobering reminder of how easily beguiled the church is by a pretty voice. Not only is the unfolding debacle painful to watch, it also ought to send a chill of fear down the spine of pastors and church leaders. MacDonald was no heretic. He was and is a biblical conservative. His failure, if the reports are true, was one of leadership…

Eli's Sin Will Be The Death of Your Church
Eli’s Sin Will Be The Death of Your Church

God despises bad pastors.
In the book of 1 Samuel, three corrupt priests receive a large amount of screen time. Eli and his worthless sons are condemned in 1 Samuel 2:12-16, and again in 1 Samuel 2:17-36, and again in 1 Samuel 3:11-24. And all of 1 Samuel 4 is dedicated to their destruction. They are mentioned more than Hannah, Jesse, and many other names that we are familiar with. Yet, we talk…

James MacDonald Reflects on 30 Years in Ministry, #MeToo, Millennials and Future of Faith in the US
Christians must return to the hard work of making disciples, abandon the less-is-more approach to church, and examine our own failures when considering the ongoing #MeToo fallout, says Pastor James MacDonald.
In an interview with The Christian Post, the longtime pastor of the multicampus Harvest Bible Chapel in Illinois, candidly shared what he’s learned and continues to learn about the heart of…
